When I came to TU, I really struggled in the beginning. The intensity of preseason, coupled with being so far from my family and friends, really had me down and thinking about whether going to Thomas was the right choice for me. The Adopt-A-Srudent Program offered by Goalline Ministries to Thomas University student-athletes meant the world to me. Being away from home was hard, but I was blessed with the most amazing adopted family ever. Seeing their kids every week made me feel right at home, especially since I couldn’t see my younger sister as much as I wanted to. Their home-cooked meals were absolutely amazing – Something about sitting at their dinner table made all the stress from school and sports melt away....

I never really grew up in church, but I had a mom who led me to Christ and protected me from worldly things. I never had friends who loved Jesus as much as I did or wanted to get to know Jesus more.
